Não se deixem intimidar pelo aspecto do restaurante. Comida ao nível de uma estrela Michelin. Bem confecionada, sabor maravilhoso. Nunca tinha comido umas costoletas de borrego tão boas. Tudo maravilhoso. Que dizer das sobremesas simplesmente espectaculares, diferentes e de sabor divinal. Doses que dão para duas pessoas, embora sendo individuais. Serviço simpático e pronto. O espaço não é condizente com a delícia da comida. Aconselho vivamente para almoçar ou jantar.

Cozinhar divinamente, sem dúvida é uma arte! Nível de estrela Michelin e preço normal! Só retiraria a TV da sala, mas isso faz parte da cultura portuguesa!!!

We decided to try this restaurant because of the excellent reviews, which doesn't always work out. From the outside it looks nothing special. However, once inside you are welcomed with open arms. A superbly informal atmosphere, where most of the customers seem local (always a good sign). The service and the food was absolutely superb and reasonably priced. Marcello (I hope I got his name right) is so genuinely friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic, that he will surely rise to become Portugal's minister for tourism!! As we were the last customers of the evening the owner (cook) emerged from the kitchen and we had a long chat with him and his wife. Genuine people who obviously enjoy what they do, and they do it very well. If you visit Beja you would be crazy not to try this restaurant. In my view the evening spent here was the highlight of our week in Portugal.
