I must admit, even though I am a big fan of Santini, the ice cream at Gelados Conchanata was just a tick better. The lemon and strawberry ice cream were absolutely delicious. Points to Santini for better atmosphere. Well worth the trip to Conchanata. Otherwise you will have to fly to Florence or visit Santini for comparable ice cream.

This is the best ice cream I've had in my life. Forget Gelato, Italy, and everything you know. Just go here and order a "Conchanata", the traditional one. It is out of this world good. The one thing is that they are never that nice, they don't smile and are all about business. The place also looks like a whole in the wall, and barely has any sitting place outside. Don't let your impressions fool you. This is totally worth it!
