Worth a visitI have 2 kids aged 8 and 10 and they loved their day trip here. It was crowded here but this added to the atmosphere. I especially enjoyed the free exercise class in the pool. The wave pool also had some of the strongest artificial waves I have experienced. Only disappointment is that the waves were not switched on long enough. The 3 water slides were also good Fun, and not too scary.
Santarem was very hot, at least 5 degrees warmer than the coast so a good place to visit for outdoor swimming. However the pools are not heated so the water feels shockingly cold when you first jump in.
Also (like other aquaparks in Portugal) it has staff carrying live animals to pose for photos with the swimmers. It also has a free car park. Comming here by car with a good sat navigation is advisable as the park is a little out the way.
I did not eat here as you can bring your own food so I can't comment on the restaurant.
Piscinas super divertidas e grandes.
