We came back for the espetadasOn the winding road to the sea in Olhos De Agua, there are a number of restaurants. They all offer similar cuisine - kebabs, cataplana, grilled meats & fish. We ended up at O'Cantil twice. The first time I didn't leave a tip (accident rather than design) so we went back again. On the second occasion, the waiter had to go to his flat to get his own bananas to make a banana split. So I think they went above and beyond the call of duty.
I would have to say the meat kebabs here are my favourite - it was the real reason why we went back, and they were just as good second time around.
It's always difficult to grade restaurants, and I've noticed that mine tend to get 4 stars (very good). Average to me means a so-so meal, where you would rather try somewhere else next time - so this place gets a very good..
Service was good, food was good and we would/ will go back again !
Frozen pizzas, what else ?Place with affordable prices but awful food quality.
The waiter who took our orders was not the same who brought the dishes. So they even didn't know what were the pizzas they were given to us.
About the dishes : Frozzen pizzas (I think they bought the cheapest one and gave them to us, they billed around 10 euros/each). A friend of mine even found a piece of plastic film in his Peperoni's one.
AvoidWe visited here as a group of 7 for dinner. Avoid like the plague as there are far better restaurants. Waited for ages for drinks that never came and then got charged for them. Squid and prawn skewer was sent back due to the lack of squid and only 3 little prawns, chicken very dry and the vegetable skewer was a joke - potatoes and a couple of peppers and really greasy courgette. A sauce came with it and when we asked what it was the waiter simply shrugged his shoulders. Really poor value for money for the food and service.
