We were staying in the small town of Lagoa and read about this place online. Although we tend to eat on a bit of a budget, we decided to treat ourselves on this occasion - and wow, we're so glad that we did.
We hadn't booked but as it was October we took a chance and wandered up. The two waiters were so friendly and immediately made us welcome.
Starting with some lovely bread, the homemade butter included olive and also garlic with saffron. Accompanied by one of the best olive oils we have ever tasted.
We chose the gazpacho and carpaccio to start, followed by the monkfish and track of lamb.
Without doubt one of THE best meals we have tasted in a very long time.
The wine was a local Lagoa red and perfectly matched our food.
Finally sharing a delicious chocolate mousse.
We would highly recommended a visit if you are a food lover.
ExcellentNous y sommes allés 2 fois. Très bonnes cuisines et très bons vins à des prix tout à fait corrects. C'est le meilleur restaurant que nous ayons fait en Algavre, ne vous fiez pas au quartier qui ne paie pas de mine.
