We went on a Sunday night to find that our restaurant was closed, but this restaurant next door was open. It appeared to have a decent menu and looked like an interesting place. The service was very welcoming and prompt. We had the pork stew and suckling pig. Both came with a generous vegetable/salad side dish. The suckling pig was very tender and tasty. The port stew with clams was almost inedible, the meat was very tough. My impression is that they are not using the freshest or highest quality of ingredients as it appeared they are struggling to keep this place open. But, we enjoyed our dinner and the price was good. I think there are better places but it is convenient if you are staying on the Avenue Liberdade.

We were on our last night, and I had few Euros left. I had been asking if restaurants accepted VISA, but forgot. We ordered and they delivered the starters when I remembered I had little cash. I asked the owner, and he said "NO PROBLEM"! When I counted my cash, it was only around 26E, and the bill was over 30E. He said "don't worry about the difference" and took what cash I had. Not only that, but we had wine, salad, 2 whole fish dinners! And the food was one of the best meals we had in a restaurant! The restaurant is only a few blocks from the Plaza hotel where we were staying. Maybe we went up that street because of the street name is also named Gloria, like my wife!

Arrivés le jour même, 1er restaurant que nous faisons. On apprend vite, mais à nos dépends : le pain et les olives sont payants, proposés sans le préciser... Pas de vin maison, la bouteille a été servie sans nous préciser le prix, les plats étaient fades et le service très lent. Le patron est peu aimable, ne parle pas et ne sourit pas. L'addition a été salée, sans aucun détails de prix, et impossible d'avoir des réponses : la note arrive, vous voyez le montant, et la serveuse s'empresse de la récupérer et de partir dans les cuisines... 60€ pour un dîner que l'on voulait typique et abordable, ça ne passe pas.
