Me and my friends have spent 4 days in Matosinhos for holidays and we tried different local restaurants but O Lusitano was definitely the best one. We were in 2 and had a big portion of calamari as starter and a main course each (big portion as well), salad, potatoes, 2 bottle of an amazing withe wine, coffee and two shots of aguardente (a portuguese grappa). All of that for 52 euros. Very good value, Highly recommended.

when you go the street where is located O Lusitano, you have plenty of restaurants with a lot of local fishes & seafood, and all along the streets you get the barbecue on the sidewalk,I loved this place without any luxury restaurants, just good places, good food and good people! I went there following an advice of a Portuguese Friend, and all was perfect. Despite I said nothing, the manager made efforts in French to explain all the specialities, and honestly, food, drinks, ect everything was very good for me. Huge kindness of the staff. I am glutton of octopussy.....and I had the chance to eat one, you can try w/o fear!

Excelente serviço, staff muito simpático e familiar, peixe fresco e de excelente qualidade, as lulas estavam de chorar por mais, acompanhadas por batatinhas a murro muito boas!! Para voltar!!!
