WOw how lucky were we it was an entire street of fresh fish restaurants! We walked up one side and down the other and it was a random pick. Was it the BEST choice we made, we certainly thought so. Hubby loves fish and had two things he really wanted to try. Sardines and bacelhau and after some discussion with the owner, who not only spoke English, Portugese, French, Italian and Spanish helped us through every thing. Fantastic suggestions for me, not a great fish lover, so she suggested prawns and squid, and I am so happy because were beautiful, every taste was light full of different and amazing flavours. We were helped with the wine and looked after like royalty it was an absolute delight. All the time the place was filling up the owner still had time to help with all suggestions and even the sweets which her mother made and they were delicious. Had a flavourful sauce of port, what else would you try in this area of Portugal. All in all this was an excellent meal and if you are ever over this way and do not visit this majnificient restaurant then you need your head red. It was a five star with a reasobable price. Please visit it, you will not regret it.

Ir às sardinhas em Matosinhos, num restaurante com uma excelente classificação aqui no tripadvisor e ter uma travessa com 4 sardinhas, uma moída e todas elas mais cruas que assadas, é de bradar aos céus!!! Nem queria acreditar no que me estava a acontecer... Sobre este restaurante não digo mais nada...apenas não aconselho...

Nous avons diner dans ce restaurant samedi soir, nous sommes arrivés assez tôt car nous avions passé la journée sur matosinhos. Nous avons était très bien accueilli, le patron parle le francais. Nous avons demandé un mix de plusieurs poissons au barbecue pour 4 personnes, un régale! Ce restaurant n'est pas dans plusieurs guides et tripodvisor pour rien... Le vin conseillé est original et très bon. Un festin à 43€ pour 4 personnes avec l'entrée et la bouteille de vin. Si nous revenons à Porto nous repasserons ! A bientôt.
